Day 1: Dehradun to Joshimath
The journey begins with an early morning drive from Dehradun to Joshimath. Joshimath is situated at an altitude of around 6,150 ft and serves as an important pilgrimage town and gateway to many Himalayan destinations. The total distance is approximately 255 km and takes around 8–9 hours via Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Chamoli.
En route, enjoy scenic views of rivers, valleys, and Himalayan landscapes. Upon arrival at Joshimath, check in to the hotel, relax, and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Joshimath.
Day 2: Joshimath to Auli – Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive towards Auli, one of the most beautiful hill destinations of Uttarakhand, located at an altitude of about 9,000 ft. The distance from Joshimath to Auli is around 16 km and offers mesmerizing views of snow-clad peaks and lush green slopes.
On reaching Auli, enjoy sightseeing and spend time admiring the panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Dronagiri peaks. You may also explore the Auli ropeway (subject to availability) and enjoy the serene surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a camp or hotel at Auli.
Day 3: Auli to Chopta
Post breakfast, depart for Chopta, popularly known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.” Chopta is located at an altitude of approximately 8,700 ft and is surrounded by dense forests of pine, deodar, and rhododendron. The drive takes around 6–7 hours covering nearly 140 km.
On arrival, check in to the camp or hotel and enjoy the peaceful environment. The evening is free to relax or explore nearby meadows. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Chopta.
Day 4: Chopta to Dehradun (Departure)
Early morning breakfast at the campsite/hotel. If time and weather permit, you may visit Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Later, begin the return journey to Dehradun.
The drive back takes around 8–9 hours. You will reach Dehradun by late evening, marking the end of a memorable 4 Days and 3 Nights Auli – Joshimath – Chopta tour with beautiful memories of the Himalayas.
How to Reach Auli – Joshimath – Chopta?
There are multiple ways to reach Dehradun, the starting point of this tour:
Via Air:-
Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, is the nearest airport, located about 25 km from the city. From the airport, you can reach Dehradun Railway Station or ISBT, from where our representative will pick you up.
Via Train:-
Dehradun Railway Station is well-connected with major cities like Delhi.
Nanda Devi Express: Train No. 12205
Departure: 11:50 PM (Delhi)
Arrival: 05:40 AM (Dehradun)
Via Bus:-
Regular government and private buses are available from Delhi to Dehradun ISBT. From there, you will be picked up for the onward journey.

6. Any kind of emergency evacuation charges.
Note:
Normally Sky Wander Holidays expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule.
Charges of offloading backpack:-
INR 1200/- if you make an online payment, 10 days in advance
INR 1500/- if you inform us after reaching Sankri
The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kgs. Backpack should have waterproof cover. Suitcases/strolleys/ bags will not be allowed.

Paying the Trek/ Adventure activity fee:
The fee can be paid by online transfer/check deposit/ demand draft. Instruction for payment will be forwarded along with your confirmation email. When your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation mail with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently.
When to Book:
It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organising your trip at least five months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking)
Cancellation Policy:
Terms for Cancellation & Refund:
Customer is suppose to make a full payment in advance for the confirm bookings.
If in case a confirmed booking needs to be cancel than below are the refund policies
1. Prior 30 days of the confirmed date, 50% of the total amount would be refunded
2. Prior 25 days of the confirmed date, 40% of the total amount would be refunded
3. Prior 20 days of the confirmed date, 30% of the total amount would be refunded
4. Prior 15 days of the confirmed date, 20% of the total amount would be refunded
5. Prior 10 days of the confirmed date, 10% of the total amount would be refunded
Note: After the said time the Sky Wander Holidays would not be entertaining any cancelation and no amount would be refunded whatsoever.

Good Shoes-Good Trek
It is so evident that one has to walk and only walk while Trekking, so it is far more essential to have a good pair of trekking/hiking shoes. Practice walking by wearing your boots before the trek to make yourself used to them. You may opt for an option to keep an extra pair in your bag while trek to help yourself in the opposite condition.
