Sankari Village
Sankari is the starting point for over a dozen treks and serves as your last bit of "civilization" before heading into the wilderness.Kedarkantha Trek bIt is a bustling Himalayan hamlet with traditional wooden houses, small cafes, and shops selling trekking gear.Even before you start walking, you’ll get a glimpse of the Swargarohini peaks glowing at sunset.This is your last chance to rent gaiters, spikes, or trekking poles. Juda Ka Talab
Located at an altitude of about 9,100 feet, this is usually your first campsite. "Juda Ka Talab" translates to "The Joined Lake."A high-altitude lake surrounded by a dense forest of pine and oak trees. In the peak of winter, the entire lake freezes over, turning into a giant sheet of ice.
The Experience: You’ll be camping on the clearing near the lake. Expect temperatures to drop significantly once the sun goes down.
Nature’s Beauty: In the morning, the golden sunlight filtering through the pine trees onto the snow is a photographer’s dream. It is serene, quiet, and feels like a true mountain escape.

DAY 1: Delhi (Akshardham Metro Station) – Sankri / Mandal]
The thrilling trek towards Kedarkantha begins from Delhi. Our representative meets you at Akshardham Metro Station early in the morning (around 6:00–7:00 a.m.). From here, begin a scenic overnight/long drive towards Sankri/Mandal, passing through the plains of Uttarakhand and gradually entering the Himalayan region.The journey offers beautiful views of rivers, mountain roads, pine forests, and charming hill towns along the way. You will reach Sankri/Mandal by evening (depending on road and traffic conditions). On arrival, check into your cozy guest house or campsite.
DAY 2 : DAY 2: Sankri – Juda Ka Talab
After breakfast, begin your trek towards Juda Ka Talab, covering a distance of approximately 4 km and reaching the campsite in about 4–5 hours. The trekking trail passes through streams, wooden bridges, and dense oak and pine forests. As you gradually gain altitude, you are rewarded with scenic views and eventually arrive at the picturesque Juda Ka Talab..
DAY 3: Juda Ka Talab – Kedarkantha Base / Shepherd Huts
After breakfast, begin your ascent towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, which takes around 3 to 4 hours. The trail passes through dense pine and oak forests, traditional shepherd huts, and gradually opens into vast alpine meadows.As you gain altitude, enjoy breathtaking views of an arc-shaped range of snow-capped peaks including Bandarpunch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana. By afternoon, you will arrive at the Kedarkantha Base Camp.After reaching the base, check into the camps and spend the evening soaking in the beauty of snow-clad mountains, clear skies, and a mesmerizing sunset over the mighty Himalayas.
DAY 4: Kedarkantha Base – Kedarkantha Summit – Descend to Juda Ka Talab
The long-awaited day finally arrives as you begin your final ascent to the Kedarkantha Summit. The day starts early with a breathtaking sunrise over the Kedarkantha meadows, followed by a filling breakfast.The trail initially winds through forests, gradually opening up as the summit comes closer and vegetation begins to thin. After a steady climb, you finally reach the Kedarkantha Summit.Standing tall at an elevation of 12,500 feet, soak in the spectacular 360-degree views and celebrate the moment—“We did it!”. After spending some time at the summit, begin your descent towards Juda Ka Talab, where you halt for the day and celebrate the successful summit climb.
DAY 5: Juda Ka Talab – Sankri – Delhi (Akshardham Metro Station)
After breakfast, begin your descent towards Sankri. On the way, soak in the final mesmerizing views of the Har Ki Dun Valley and capture these beautiful moments to cherish forever.Reach Sankri by around 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. After a short break, depart for Delhi. The return journey takes approximately 10–12 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.The scenic drive back is marked by serene landscapes, mountain roads, rivers, and lovely surroundings, bringing a perfect end to your unforgettable Kedarkantha trek.
How to Reach Kedarkantha Trek?
There are multiple ways to reach the base location for the Kedarkantha Trek:
By Air:
Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, is the nearest airport, located approximately 20 km from the city. Daily flights are available from Delhi to Dehradun. From the airport, you can reach the reporting point by cab.
By Train:
Dehradun Railway Station is well connected with Delhi and other major cities.

By Bus:
Regular government buses are available from ISBT Kashmere Gate, Delhi, to Dehradun. We recommend using only government buses for a safe and reliable journey.
Quick Overview:
The vehicle will pick you up from Dehradun Railway Station at 09:00 PM (pickup charges included).
You will reach Sankri by the next day evening, around 05:00 PM.
Food from Dehradun to Sankri is not included in the Kedarkantha Trek.

Paying the Trek/ Adventure activity fee:
The fee can be paid by online transfer/check deposit/ demand draft. Instruction for payment will be forwarded along with your confirmation email. When your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation mail with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently.
When to Book:
It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organising your trip at least five months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking)

Customer is suppose to make a full payment in advance for the confirm bookings.
If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try
their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
